ABOUT OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR
Hi, I'm Justin Nixon. I come from a vibrant background, the youngest among eight siblings with a deep connection to my lwi, Tuwharetoa and Ngati Porou. Family is everything to me, and being a father to five wonderful children has shaped my perspective on life.
My journey has been one of self-discovery and continuous growth. Despite stumbling upon learning challenges later in life, my drive for education propelled me forward. I earned a Bachelor of Information Technology from Otago Polytechnic and furthered my studies with a Masters of Business Administration from Otago University.
Life's lessons haven't been without their share of mistakes, especially during my younger years. But I've always strived to own up to them andsteer my path in the right direction, learning and evolving along the way.
Rugby has been a cornerstone of my life for nearly three decades. Coaching isn't just about the game; it's about instilling values and nurturing young minds. Whether it's at Burnside Rugby Football Club or Waitaha Maori Rugby, my coaching philosophy revolves around empowering players to make decisions, fostering a culture of fun, growth, and self-expression within a safe team environment.
This philosophy extends beyond the field-it's ingrained in how I approach business and leadership. For me, it's about fostering character and personal growth, believing that success transcends mere numbers; it's about the development of individuals and their collective journey.
